So I am on a road trip with some friends from High School to Fulton IL to go to a wedding of a friend and we stoped to at Camp Manitoque for the night because I wanted to see all of the Dordt people here again. This is my second time here this summer. I love the people here and it is great to talk to the Dordt friends and meet and make good relationships with other people here at Camp. I got here at about 10pm last night and I still haven't gone to bed because it has been such a great night. I first let Justin Montsma show me some things about my new ibook computer (yes he has converted me to the mac) which my church bought for me. I also showed him some things too. Yes that is right I taught the experienced one a few new tricks as well.
Then after that fun time I did a lot of talking with others about life and the church and spirituality and living a life for Christ and learning and realizing how much we are messed up... you know all the typical conversations. It was refreshing and God used thsi time to convict me and remind me of some things that I have been failing and forgetting. How I haven't been acting on all the things that God is putting in front of me in Hamilton and everywhere. Again, I need to keep being bold and living out what I know God tells me in His word and through revelation. We all know what we got to do, the hard part is just doing it. and not doing what we know is harmful. God convicted me that I need to confess these things and repent. I heard a great song from Derek Webb this week called "I Repent"... We must always repent for what we have done and not done.
After the talk one of the guys thought we should pray together. so we did and that went for a couple of hours. and this included sharing what I need to repent from and then having God take that a way and make us strong again. and then it comes to a little more talking and sharing stories and getting to the blogs when I have been gone for so so very long. I repent for not journaling as much as I should be also, because this does help debrief my life. and it is a way to share some of my thoughts, experiences, stories, and any thing really.

its cool that you're having such a good time in Michigan, my friend. I'm actually not going back to Dordt next year. I've decided to stay in Lincoln and go to UNL instead.
God has been really great this summer. He's really taught me a lot (most of the time, I feel like I can't take it all in). What's really great is that i'm surrounded by a loving church that really pushes me to pursue him, and I have some great accountability. Keep checking my blog for updates. I write on it almost every day. I'll be reading yours.
