Church Around the World

I got so excited this morning at church. God is so awesome! This church has gone through a lot but you would have never of sensed any pain at all this morning here in Hamilton. There was more people here than I have never seen, mostly because of Sunday School starting again. That is awesome to see that so many families that are still a part of our larger congregation family. It felt so free in church this morning and seeing so many people up front for different reasons. A lot of getting at the heart of worship - that is what the message was about too Worship: The experience of the heart. We need to worship in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:23) and that is what I sensed this morning. The service went longer today, and I loved that it did! It went even longer after that as we had refreshments and lots of people staying around and talking and were enjoying eachothers company. We moved the refreshments into the fellowship hall today which I think it should stay that way because it feels more like a place where we are encouraged to stick around and socialize. God is moving in the place! Having everything go long didn't leave time for a really good youth group leaders meeting. We have a lot to talk about and didn't get to a lot of the stuff we should of talked about. But that is alright God is still awesome!
In the service we had a "moment for missions" where a man from Words of Hope came and shared a little bit of how God was working through Words of Hope in the US and other parts of the world. Awesome! I lately have also been able to talk to or get letters from so many other people around the US and the world how are seeing God move in awesome ways. It is such a blessing to see and hear that God is working in Uganda, Rwanda, Trinidad, Russia, Dordt, Hamilton, Grand Rapids, Hudsonville and everywhere else that I get to hear about and experience. We need to keep sharing your stories with each other and know that God is working in the Church all over the World and in different ways and yet for the same cause. The Kindom of Heaven is coming to earth and people are being restored and loved and cared for. God is Good!
