BIRTHday Past

So It has been a fun birthday weekend. Fun and Relaxing. I didn't work Yesterday or Today, which is a really needed break. I tried to give myself lots of time to read and journal and pray. Not being able to watch TV by myself, because of a Lent fast, also makes it easier to do this; it also makes it easier to sleep :) With all this time I still find other things to distract me from journaling and praying. (This blog counts as journaling though. A journal you all get to read!)
Thursday was my birthday and it was a really good day. I had lots of food. Breakfast with Young Life staff at the Trestle Stop (main resturant in Hamilton), then doughnuts at church staff meeting, then birthday cake at school from my kids in the Life Skills class (it was a "surprise"), then lunch at the Tresple Stop with Randy my church mentor, then left over doughnuts at the office, then dinner with the high school swim team (the skin heads), then food with the junior high youth group leaders. Then I went home and played Red Ball (Swib) with some students. It was a lot of food, fun, friends, and work.
So Tonight I am going to a birhtday party with my family at my grandparents home. And I want to do some journaling in my "private" journal now. So thanks for taking interest in my life, Peace and Love!

Mike!! Happy Belated Birthday man, hope it was a good one! I returned the birthday email you sent to me, did you get it? That made my day when I got it from you!
Time for bed though now, talk to you later.

Yeah, I believe I got it back. Sometimes I don't reply, I think that is something I might need to work on a little more. It can even be something like. "I got your email, thanks, and have a great week. " Sometimes we let email determine what we spend our time doing and that can be very unhealthy. We make emails our priorities over everything else that is probably more important to much.... kind of like me replying now as a way of procrastinating from calling some students and making a information sheet for parents. OK got to go.
