Poems from the last Months

So every once in awhile I write things down in my marbleized pocket notepads, some call it my black book. I hope to us it more and more because it is a great way to keep organized and remember thoughts and ideas. That is what I want to share with you write now, some of those thoughts and ideas. Some of these thoughts are how I have felt and some I have heard or felt from others. You can almost see them as poems, some are serious and some are not as serious, but seriously...


I need Today to Trust God
and also Trust Others
even while Knowing
I will be Crapped on by Others.
We can Guard our Hearts too much
that we Don't let anyone In.
Some days you're the Bird,
some days you're the Statue,
some days you're the Rain.


Today I will Open Up...
Open Up even while knowing it will Hurt...
Hurt to bring the past to the present...
Hurt when I am left alone in the future
with even more of my heart missing.
Still Today I will Open Up!


It would be easier to
keep my heart frozen to you.
I am afraid...
I am afraid to let your heat heal.
I am afraid to cry, afraid to laugh.
It is too Hard. It Hurts too much.


I can't bring you into my confusion.
I need clarity before I play with your heart.
Even though we are careful now we still have to know
we are not trying to avoid all pain.
That would be living without taking risks, if living at all.

Everything you do makes me think of you.
When I look at you I think of you.
When I talk to you I think of you.
When I touch you I think of you.
When I laugh at you I think of you.
